How to Install a Flusso Pocket Door System

Flusso pocket doors are the ideal space-saving solution for modern interiors. Whether you’re renovating a compact bathroom or creating flow between open-plan spaces, a single or double pocket door system offers sleek functionality without compromising style.

🧱 When Should You Use a Pocket Door System?

Installing a Flusso pocket door system is a smart choice when:

  • You want to maximise floor space in smaller rooms

  • You’re planning a contemporary renovation or minimalist design

  • A swinging door would interfere with furniture or layout

  • You want a clean, flush finish between connecting spaces

Tip: Think about using a pocket door before plasterboarding or finishing your walls, as it needs a cavity to slide into.

🔧 What’s Included in the Flusso Pocket Door Set?

The Flusso pre-assembled system is designed for quick and easy installation, with:

  • Pre-built metal cassette frame

  • Sliding track and hangers

  • Door stops and brushes

  • Door post and fixing kit

  • Soft-close kit (optional upgrade)

🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Plan Your Wall Opening

  • Determine if your wall is suitable (stud partition preferred).

  • The cavity must be double the width of your door.

  • Ensure there’s no pipework or wiring in the area.

2. Fix the Pre-Assembled Cassette

  • The Flusso system comes with a pre-built steel cassette.

  • Fix it between the studs at the desired height using the supplied brackets.

  • Ensure it is level and square for smooth sliding.

3. Install the Track System

  • Attach the track to the top of the cassette.

  • Use the provided hangers to connect the door leaf securely.

4. Hang Your Door

  • Hang the door into the track using the hangers.

  • Adjust the height and lateral position with the screws on the hangers.

  • Add brushes and soft-close kit as needed.

5. Fit the Finishing Kit

  • Attach the timber jambs and architrave to complete the frame.

  • Install the door post and latch if required.

🚪 Installing a Double Pocket Door?

The process is nearly identical to the single door:

  • Use a double cassette system (available in Flusso kits)

  • Ensure both sides align for perfect central closing

  • Can be used with flush pull handles or concealed hardware

🎯 Design Tip:

Choose from a wide range of compatible doors, including black industrial inspired glazed options, for light and modern appeal—or opt for oak and shaker styles for a warm, traditional look.
