Interior Design Trends Ins and Outs.

Interior Design Trends – lets discuss.

At Doorphoria, we believe that good design never goes out of style. That being said, it’s fascinating to see how Interior Design Trends come and go in the world of interior design. Some make a triumphant return, while others should have stayed in the past.

Today, we want to share with you some of our favourite vintage comebacks and some that we’re happy to leave behind. So grab a cuppa and let’s dive in!

IN:
– Industrial style aesthetic: The raw beauty of exposed brick, metal accents and stripped-back furnishings has taken the world by storm. It gives homes a contemporary, edgy vibe without feeling too cold or stark. Our most popular Industrial range of internal doors is a perfect example of this.
– Art Deco: With its geometric shapes and bold colours, Art Deco is here to stay. It adds drama and glamour to any interior and is perfect for those who love to make a statement. Our white primed Ascot door range from Deanta UK showcases this perfectly.
– Mid-Century Modern: This timeless style is all about clean lines, organic shapes and minimalism. It feels fresh and modern even though it originated in the 1950s. Our Oak, Walnut and White Primed Shaker style doors are a perfect nod to this popular trend.

OUT:
– Shabby Chic: While we can appreciate the appeal of up-cycling and giving old furniture a new lease of life, the shabby chic trend has become tired and overdone. It’s time to retire the chalk paint and frilly cushions.
– Tuscan Inspired: In the early 2000s, everyone wanted to bring a bit of Tuscany into their homes. Now, it feels outdated and too theme-park like. It’s time to let go of the faux olive oil bottles and terracotta tiles.
– Overly Ornate Furniture: Heavy, ornate furniture can add a touch of luxury to a room, but it can also feel fussy and overwhelming. It’s much better to invest in simple, timeless pieces that won’t go out of fashion.
