🔥 FIRE DOOR TRIMMING GUIDANCE
This FD30 fire door blank may be reduced in height and/or width, provided all cut edges are correctly re-lipped with suitable hardwood lippings to maintain fire integrity.
All lippings must be applied in line with the original construction specification to ensure there are no gaps between the core and lipping.
🔧 INSTALLATION & IMPORTANT NOTES
- Must be fitted with a minimum of 3 hinges (4 may be required depending on door size)
- Requires intumescent seals to achieve fire performance
- Door edge gaps should be maintained between 1.5mm–4mm
- Maximum threshold gap 6mm (3mm where smoke control is required)
- All faces and edges must be sealed with a suitable finish
- Not suitable for exposure to external weathering unless correctly specified
⚠️ Larger sizes are heavy — ensure 2 people are available for offloading
