external door helps retain warmth and reduce heat loss, making it ideal for UK climates.
Thermally Efficient & Built for British Weather
Engineered for performance, the Devon features a grey primed marine plywood outer face with an aluminium sheet positioned within the door construction.
This advanced layered design enhances strength, stability, and resistance to moisture and temperature change, making it significantly more durable than traditional stile and rail doors.
Thanks to this robust construction, no porch, canopy, or recess is required, even in exposed locations.
The obscure glazed panel allows natural light to enter while maintaining privacy, making the Devon an excellent choice for front or side entrances.
Each door is 44mm thick and can be trimmed by up to 25mm on all edges, ensuring a precise fit for both new-build and renovation projects.
Grey Primed & Ready to Paint
Supplied grey primed as standard (RAL 7038) using an Anker Stuy Hydrolux Duocoat water-based primer, the Thermawood Devon is moisture-regulated and ready for painting.
Its smooth surface ensures a high-quality finish whether you choose bold, neutral, or classic tones.
Care & Maintenance

- Allow 24–48 hours for the door to acclimatise before fitting.

How to Guide. - Always handle with clean gloves and avoid dragging the door.
- If trimming, reduce equally from both sides (maximum 25mm per edge) and reseal all exposed edges.
- Finish all six sides (top, bottom, edges, and faces) before installation to maintain the warranty.
- Lightly sand (120–180 grit) before applying two water-based top coats.
- Avoid dark colours on sun-exposed doors to reduce the risk of warping.
- Clean every two years with warm soapy water and reapply finish as required.
Important: Installation of an unsealed or unfinished door will invalidate the manufacturer’s guarantee.
